Local recording and editing

OhRec saves recordings to disk and processes edits locally on your computer. Your footage is not uploaded to Peacae or Wekify as part of recording or editing.

Know your save folder

Check the save folder configured in the desktop app. Keep the original recordings and imported media available while working on a project. Moving or deleting a source file can affect projects that depend on it.

Disk space and backups

Recording and export both need free disk space. Keep a backup of important source files and completed exports on another drive or in a location you choose.

Originals and finished videos

Studio exports a new file instead of overwriting the original recording. Preview the finished file before sharing it or removing any source material.

Previous browser recordings

The former browser recorder has been retired. Older recordings saved in a browser do not transfer automatically into the desktop library. Removing the website tools did not clear that older data.
