Recording with OhRec

Capture your screen, a window, or your webcam in the Windows desktop app.

Choose what to capture

Use screen capture for your display, window capture for one application, or webcam recording for a camera-only video. To record a website, capture its window or your screen.

Microphone and system audio

Enable your microphone for narration and system audio for sound from your computer. Choose the intended devices and make a short test to confirm that both sources sound right.

Webcam-only recording uses your camera and microphone; system audio is not part of that mode.

Presenter bubble

Show your camera alongside a screen recording. Choose the bubble position, shape, and size in the desktop setup. Check that it does not cover important content.

Recording controls

Use the floating control pill or global shortcuts to pause, resume, or finish. The desktop app also provides tray actions so you can control a recording while working elsewhere.

Chapter markers

Add chapter markers while recording to make important moments easier to find. You can work with chapters in Studio afterward.

Quality and saved files

Choose the available recording quality in the desktop app. Capture format and encoding depend on your Windows setup and recording mode. Check the saved file in your library rather than assuming every recording is WebM.
